Transparent, fair rates for expert guitar setup and repair in Toronto — whether I come to you or your guitar comes to the MrGuitar Workshop. Every guitar deserves great care, and great care shouldn't be a mystery.
Service Call
I come to your home, studio, rehearsal space, or office — anywhere in the GTA. The $200 Service Call covers travel to your location and the first hour of on-site professional engagement.
On-Site Service
On-Site Service Call
Includes travel to your location and the first hour of on-site professional engagement within Toronto, North York, Scarborough, Etobicoke, and Richmond Hill. After the first hour, additional time is billed at $125/hour in 15-minute increments ($31.25 per 15 min). Locations further out are quoted individually.
Your first hour begins at the start of the appointment. If assessment is needed, it takes place within that first hour. When suitable service can begin during the same visit, the remaining time can be used for hands-on work.

What to Expect
A typical guitar setup takes about 1–2 hours, depending on the instrument and the work required. First-time instruments, unfamiliar setups, or guitars needing additional attention may take longer. I'll assess what the guitar needs and explain anything that may require additional time before proceeding.
After the first hour, additional time is billed at $125/hr in 15-minute increments ($31.25 per 15 min). Strings are $20 minimum per set, or you're welcome to supply your own.
On-Site vs. MrGuitar Workshop

Prefer to Drop Off?
You can also drop off your instrument at the MrGuitar Workshop in Toronto, Ontario. Workshop service is billed separately at the applicable MrGuitar Workshop rates (see below).
If an on-site appointment reveals work better completed at the MrGuitar Workshop, I'll explain the recommended work and applicable charges before proceeding. The $200 Service Call covers travel to your location and the first hour of on-site professional engagement. Any subsequent Workshop service and return or separately arranged transportation are billed separately.
Instrument Pickup & Delivery
Standalone pickup from your location is $75 within the core service area. Delivery or return of your instrument is $75 within the core service area. When both are arranged together, the standard transport total is $150.
If I'm already at your location for a Service Call and the guitar needs to come back to the MrGuitar Workshop, retrieval is included in the Service Call. Returning the guitar afterward is $75 within the core service area.
Longer-distance arrangements are quoted individually. All MrGuitar Workshop service is billed separately from transportation.

MrGuitar Workshop Services
Some work is better suited to the MrGuitar Workshop. The prices below are a reference for common workshop services—not a menu you need to diagnose your guitar from. What a Professional Setup May Include
A setup is tailored to the instrument rather than performed from a fixed checklist. Depending on the guitar and what it needs, professional setup work may include:
Every guitar is different, so the work performed depends on the instrument and what it needs. Parts, strings and more extensive repair or fretwork are additional where applicable.
