An MPA is a professional, hands-on examination of your guitar designed to give you clarity about the instrument and confidence about what to do next.

I'll examine the guitar as an instrument—not simply as an object. I'll look, listen, feel, play, and measure where appropriate, drawing on years of experience as a guitarist and technician.

Then I'll explain what I'm finding, what matters, what can wait, and what I recommend.

The goal isn't to find work to do. It's to determine what your guitar actually needs.

I'll assess how the guitar feels and responds, including action, neck condition, setup-related concerns, and other factors affecting the playing experience.

I'll examine the components that matter to the instrument's function and identify anything that deserves attention.

History & Context

Your guitar's age, history, use, environment, and your own goals all matter. The right recommendation depends on the whole picture.

An MPA is a standalone professional service. You are paying for the examination, expertise, findings, and recommendations—not for a quote or a promise that work will be performed.

If service is recommended and authorized during the same appointment, your $200 MPA fee is applied toward that service.

If no service is required, that's a successful MPA too.
